I Did Not Choose Home Care. Home Care Chose Me.
Before Angelic Care was a business, it was my life. My mother was diagnosed with dementia — and I became her caregiver. I was there for the hard moments, the tender moments, the days when she did not recognize my face and the days when she did. I learned to navigate a health system that was not built for families like ours, to make calls on her behalf, to advocate when she could not, and to show up — every single day — with love that had to be stronger than heartbreak.
Then came my brother. After a massive stroke left him wheelchair-bound, I became part of his care team too. For seven years I was in the room, on the phone with case managers, navigating community resources, showing up — not because I had to, but because that is what love looks like in action.
By the time I considered home care as a profession, I had already lived it. I knew what families needed — not just help with daily tasks, but someone who truly understood the weight of what they were carrying. Someone who had sat in that chair, made those calls, and felt that particular mix of love and exhaustion that comes with caring for someone you adore.
That is why I started Angelic Care. Not to fill a market gap — but because I know firsthand that the right support can be the difference between a family falling apart and a family finding their footing.
